'A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia, the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks.'

WHO PRODUCED THE FILM? - There were three production companies that worked together to produce the film Spectre. These were: Eon Productions, Columbia Pictures, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayor.

Eon Productions are a British film production company who are most well known for the James Bond series. They are based in central London, which is local for the films as they are set in the London as well. The founders of Eon Productions are Albert R. Broccoli, and Harry Saltzman, and was founded 56 years ago in 1961. Although a British production company, both founders were born in US or Canada.

Columbia pictures is an American film studio and production company, which was founded 98 years ago in 1918, by Harry Cohn, Jack Cohn, and Joe Brandt.

WHAT OTHER FILMS HAVE THEY PRODUCED? - There has only one other film that Eon production company has produced, which are not in the James Bond series. This is called Call Me Bwana, which is a farce film created in 1963, set in Africa, and non related to the 007 series.

Columbia Pictures have produced hundreds of high budget films, such as Sausage party, The Shallows, Grown Ups 2, and many many others, which are all non related to the James Bond series, but are all high budget productions.

WHO DIRECTED THE FILM?

Sam Mendes is the director of Spectre, is an english film and stage director. He was born on the 1st August 1965. Not only has he directed Spectre of the 007 series, he also directed Skyfall which was released in 2012.

WHAT WAS THE BUDGET?

The budget for Spectre was $245-$300 Million, and it made $880.7 million at the box office.

The stars of the film are Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, and Andrew Scott, who were the main 4 characters throughout the film. Of all the cast, these are those with the highest profile. Daniel Craig and Ralph Fiennes are both older, well established actors who have made themselves famous through other works- although it could be argued the Bond films officially put Daniel Craig on the map. Naomie Harris and Andrew Scott are both new, up and coming actors. However, it could be seen that in such a franchise like Bond. The name itself is star enough and doesn't require a major movie star.

HOW WAS THE FILM EDITED?

At the beginning of the film the cuts are slow, and it begins with a tracking shot which lasts for almost a full four minutes. Although it won a best picture trophy award for its artsy long-take technique, never before has it been done on such a large scale. And certainly not in a $250 million action movie with potential to become a billion-dollar grosser.
